Proof of Evidence of Olga Vaijna — Westminster Magistrates' Court, Galojan Extradition Proceedings (24 April 2014)

https://femx.newsx.agency/why-estonias-poster-girl-for-democracy-is-still-targeted-long-after-court-ruling/Sworn "Proof of Evidence" statement by Olga Vaijna, Estonian citizen, submitted to Anna-Maria Galojan's solicitors (Guney Clark & Ryan) during Galojan's extradition hearing before Westminster Magistrates' Court, brought by Estonia's Ministry of Justice. Vaijna states she worked as a prison guard in Tallinn (and on rotation at Harku women's prison) prior to 2006, and separately describes working as campaign manager for three Reform Party candidates including Galojan in the 2007 election, then as a legal consultant at the European Movement Estonia (EEL). She alleges general mistreatment of detainees she witnessed in her earlier guard role (unconnected to Galojan), and separately alleges political motivation behind the case against Galojan including a claim that EEL chairman Sinijärv sought to replace Galojan once she and Vaijna uncovered financial irregularities, and that Vaijna herself was barred from testifying as a defence witness at trial. Signed and dated 24 April 2014.
