Mladen Lists Three Months Of CEN Bulgaria Story Work And Phone Expenses

This 2 April 2009 forwarded email records a contemporaneous task and expenses list from Mladen Dotchev to CEN accounts, covering CEN-related Bulgaria work carried out across January, February and March 2009. The original message states that the listed tasks were “for the last 3 months” and that Mladen had “already been paid 1000 euros”, before setting out dated story work, follow-up tasks, newsroom-ordered calls and phone expenses of EUR 35, about EUR 15 and about EUR 20. The document is significant because it helps show the practical working relationship between CEN and a Bulgaria-based contributor: stories were being assigned or supplied, tasks were itemised, expenses were recorded, and payment was being made for reporting work. In the wider evidence chain, it is useful as a basic operational record showing CEN’s contributor network, editorial workflow and payment/expense handling behind country-specific story production, rather than simply a finished archive of published articles.
