Siberian Times Seeks Invoice Address From CEN Over Pagan God Image Use

This 27 May 2014 email records a Siberian Times contact writing to CEN about a “pagan god” image that had been used, asking for CEN’s billing address so that an invoice could be issued. The email states that, as far as the sender was aware, the image had been given to The Siberian Times and that there had been “no sale to CEN.” The document is significant because it records another practical rights-and-payment dispute involving Siberian Times material and CEN-linked use, but in a different posture from a fabrication allegation: the issue being raised is billing, permission and image use, not whether the underlying story existed. In the wider evidence chain, it helps show that disagreements around CEN’s Russian/Siberian material often involved contested rights chains, non-exclusive use, local-source assumptions and later invoice/payment claims between publishers and agencies. Read alongside the related Siberian cannibals picture-rights query, it helps document the ordinary messiness of international picture syndication, where ownership, exclusivity and permission could be disputed after publication without automatically proving bad faith or fake news.
