This document is a 16 March 2015 Google Docs notification showing Craig Silverman replying to Alan White’s earlier comment on BuzzFeed’s draft article about Central European News. It is included in the Source Library as source/evidence material connected to the BuzzFeed/CEN case and the pre-publication development of BuzzFeed’s article. It records Silverman saying he had edited the section to address White’s concern that BuzzFeed had not obtained the pictures and accompanying CEN copy for the example being discussed, and therefore had to rely on assumption when connecting some downstream tabloid versions to CEN. It is relevant because it helps document that, rather than resolving the evidential gap by obtaining the original CEN material, BuzzFeed was still revising wording around uncertainty over whether particular stories had come from CEN copy, CEN pictures, or inferred syndication links.
