BuzzFeed Makes Minor Wikipedia Correction After Publication

This 25 April 2015 email from Tim Farley to Alan White and Craig Silverman concerns a small Wikipedia-related error in BuzzFeed’s published CEN article. Farley explains that the linked Allan Hall page was not a live Wikipedia article created by the Bylinebandit account, but a user sandbox page, meaning a draft or scratch page in the user’s own editing space. The relevance of the document is that this appears to have been the only correction made to the BuzzFeed article: a narrow and relatively insignificant Wikipedia point was amended, while other, more serious issues later identified in the article were not corrected, and arguably should also have been corrected.
